Where Did Summer Go?

We have had a blast this summer...but it isn't quite over yet.

This summer we have had ear tubes surgery, lots of fun at splash pads, Trafalga trips, BBQs, trips to the cabin, started a company, celebrated 5 years of marriage, and much more.

First off in May Jake and I celebrated 5 years. If you know Jake he likes to eat large amounts of food for as little as possible so it was way out of his (and mine) comfort zone to go to a fancy dinner but we figured might as well. So we got a babysitter and headed up to Salt Lake for the night. We stayed at a hotel and went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. It was so nice and it helped that we had the best waiter ever (my friend Alex from high school works there). We went all out with appetizers, drinks, salads, sides, the porterhouse for two, and desert. Hey it only happens every 5 years and lots of people don't even make it that long so we figured we must celebrate.

Then in June I had girls camp which was a blast. We went to our stake property in Heber and had such a great time. I am the Laurels advisor in our ward so I get to just go and have a party with the girls, except when they pull pranks on us. I also went to trek last week up in Martin's Cove which was such an amazing experience. Me and another lady went in remembrance of two sisters that came across the plains that helped a widow with her 5 children. It was crazy to think of all the things that they went through and relate them to our lives. We have some amazing youth in our ward.

Also these past few months Jake has started his own business called XenoPro with his friend Gage. They have just started to put their feet in the water with getting a wallpaper app in the android market. They have had fun working together and they have a ton of great things to come not just apps but also website and software development. He is just doing it on the side until maybe in the next year or five, however long it takes, for it to pick up.

Aub's had surgery on her ears a few weeks ago and she is already feeling better. It was not so fun doing it but we are glad that she is getting better. She is also learning so much. Just today we were singing the ABCs and she just sings ABC over and over again but she is starting to get the point. Also we have been counting and today she said 5 when I got to the number 5 so that was pretty cool. She is such a doll. She keeps us laughing all the time. She is seriously so funny. She also LOVES to dance! We can tell the terrible twos are starting to surface in the form of tantrums so we are working on that. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Other than that life has just been awesome! Things are going great for the Pyne family and we couldn't be more happy about that.
