Why must we sugar coat everything including our cookies?

So after a long week of reflecting I have come to realize that we women are all messed up because of each other. Well just kidding...but only to a point. In church last week I felt this weird oddness as we were talking about great things our spouses do for us. Wow I thought how come jake doesn't give me a massage and cook dinner every night and buy me flowers 50 times a week like all these womens husbands do? Sarcasm included if you couldn't tell. I actually didn't think that but what I did think was is there life really that fairy tale-ish or are they covering something else going on. Jake came home after church and we had the exact conversation about it because he was even more bugged than me. Given it is great to know that your spouse does great things but I wanted somebody to get up in the middle of class and just say "MY MARRIAGE ISN'T PERFECT!" Thank you! I love Jake so much and he serious does so much for me but man we fight and bicker about stupid stuff, I get upset, we are both stressed out sometimes. Why doesn't anybody say that? Either your marriage is a fairy tale or you have to go to major counciling because you are on the brink of getting divorced it seems. It just made me realize this week how much I love my ordinary, amazing, crazy, obnoxious at times husband. I love him because he loves me and my ordinary, amazing, crazy, and mostly obnoxious self! Thanks hunny for putting up with me when I don't always have dinner ready, there is a messy house because of tests this week, and when I whine because I had a hard day.
