Recap of Thanksgiving week and Black Friday! Oh and the last couple of weeks!

So this last week we did Thanksgiving at grandma and grandpa Pyne's house then went to Aunt Nonie's house for pies (yummy). I made some super yummy chocolate pies but forgot to take a picture so I will have to make another one later. Then I stayed at Teresa's house to go shopping the next morning. Jake went home and went to Moab with the boys where they broke 2 of the 3 Jeeps! Good thing we didn't go this time. So Thursday night me and Teres went to bed at 12:30 and woke up at 4:05 yes you heard that correct. It was all worth it though I got Jakes 2k10 basketball game from Walmart with lots of good movies but I can not say what movies they are! Some super cute boots...for way cheap with free socks.

I then got my Christmas pjs. I then bought Jake's other game! Wow all in one day! It was great and got lots of great deals. We then went to mom's house and took a 2 hour nap. Then on our way back out of town and Teresa taking me home we went to IKEA for 1 dollar swedish meatball meal. Oh so so so good. I got home then went to see Teri and Mis and got some good food at Chilis and set up some lights at mom's house. The next day was spent watching BYU dominate (well not really but they still won) and spending time with family and the boys getting home.

Lucy and me squished in the car Thanksgiving night to go shopping. There were 8 of us in a small Dodge pickup.
Then we got Netflix set back up on our tv and we have watched tons of movies and our murder mystery shows. I also set up my Christmas tree and it looks so beautiful! We are setting up our other lights later for family night because Jake wanted me to wait so we could do them together. Cute I know maybe he isn't Mr. Grinch! Pictures to follow of the whole place hopefully.

Our cute little Christmas tree!

Jake looks funny!

Jake and I at Trafalga mini golfing..thanks to Tina and Barrett for one free round! Yes we did lose so we had to buy ice cream but let it be known it was my fault definitely not Jakes he got first place!

Tina and Barrett SMILE!!!

I'm Thankful for...

The greatest part about Thanksgiving is when we go around the table and tell what we are thankful for. I love reflecting on my numerous blessings but I hate saying it in front of people (this is where my shy part comes out, and my hating crying in front of people). Also I remember one day as I was sitting in church with my family we were singing "Count Your Blessings" I don't know who said first but my mom and I started having a conversation about how it is impossible to count them so we changed the words to "Name Your Blessings" ( I hope I am not going to hell for changing a hymn, oh well if I do my mom is going with me!) and it really has made me think since then to express what I am thankful for. Also somebody of facebook started a whole thankful everyday thing and said it would be hard by the end of it....well let it be known it is 2 days before Thanksgiving and I still have plenty up my sleeve. So here is my little tribute to maybe the people or things in my life that they may think that they are unimportant but they have changed my way in a small or maybe a life changing way:

-First and foremost my Almighty Heavenly Father. I have been so blessed to grow up in the gospel to know that He cares for me and loves me so much. He listens to my simple and crazy requests because he knows what I need. That leads into my next item is that I am thankful that Heavenly Father put the most amazing man into my life at the perfect time. I am so thankful for my adorable and crazy husband. Sometimes I think our love is pretty normal and nothing exciting but then I realize how much fun we have and how much we laugh. He knows how to make me happy and he always puts me first. He trusts me so much and never questions my thoughts and feelings. I am so thankful for my temple covenants so that we can be together forever and raise a family so they can know that they are a child of God also.
-My loving and crazy parents: Yes they are crazy but I can't say anything I am too. My faithful mother who constantly told me how much she loved me and always showed me through everything that she did. My dad for his constant testimony and deep thoughts that I still love to pry into. Also only the coolest dads will recommend that we watch Steel Magnolias.
-My new mother and father: Who raised some of the most amazing people I have ever met. Also for accepting me so easily into their family and making me feel like one of them. Their constant faith has been an example of how to raise a great family.
-All my siblings who are so great and have helped me to be the person I am today. For teasing me to keep me strong. Also for bringing in some pretty darn cute nieces and nephews!
-All of our great friends who keep us young and for spending some great times with us.
-My old friends growing up, you know who you are, for teaching me who I really am and being okay with yourselves to help me realize who I could become.
-our cute apartment
-My crazy Corolla, Jake thinks it has the shakes but it is still chuggin along.
-Our great jobs that give us the money to do the things we love and teaching us some great lessons in life.
-Wonderful music, especially Paramore, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Glee, Sugarland, and Kelly Clarkson.
-Yummy Food
-the temple
-our awesome ward
-Black Fridays
-naps
-nice clothes
-going to BYU
-that Christmas is coming up soon
-Sister's Night

That is just to name a few. Just thought it would be appropriate since Thanksgiving is coming up.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

A little tribute to one of the most amazing ladies I know

As most of you know it is my mother-in-law, Teri's birthday. She is turning 29 and still looks fabulous (yes she was very, very young when she had children). I am just making this short but I figured Thanksgiving coming up and it being her birthday I should write a short note about this amazing woman. When Jake and I started dating I met Teri only 2 days after we became a couple I guess and 5 days after we went on our first date. I told Teri not too long ago that my first impression of their house was frightening because they had a sign on their porch that said to please take off your shoes and they have a gorgeous front entry. This worried me because my family is more laid back. When I walked further into the house I went into the "Pyne" room and realized that this was definitely home. Ever since that day Teri and the rest of the family has done nothing more than to make me feel at home with them all. I have never felt like an outsider or not wanted. I have heard so many horror stories of crazy in-laws, especially mother-in-laws, but I can honestly say I have the best mother-in-law! (Even if she won't say she loves me! Just kidding I know she at least likes me!) Love you Teri! Thanks for Everything!!!

Further Evidence I am Crazy

So the test on Saturday went pretty good. I am not too worried because if I don't pass it I still have a year and a half and this one was free so it is alright but I have to tell you aboout my rediculous story. If you may not have noticed (I didn't until I got married) my first and last name are similar...you don't think so...let me show you lYNEtte pYNE. Therefore, 3/4th of my last name is a lot like my first name. So about 11pm the night before the exam I realized that I misspelled my last name so it was Pynet (I was trying to write my first name apparently I haven't gotten used to my last name, can't blame me only a year of Pyne and 21 years of Lynette. So I get to the test and it was a HUGE deal. They were telling me that it will probably be okay but I had to wait to the side and then I had to talk to the director so at this point I was freaking out...then she said oh okay just fix it online......THAT IS ALL!!??!! I was so realived but thinking in my head what the heck? I understand because it is nationwide testing but it was actually quite a crackup.

The rest of this weekend was a blast. My sister, Lucy's 26th b-day was yesterday and we had a girl's night on the town while Jake worked on the Jeep at papa's house. I went there right after the test and we went shopping. Got a fabulous skirt from downeast for $12!!! (All clearance is an extra 50% off!)

Then Big Star jeans which are supposed to be over $100 for $8!!!!! Then we went to Sherman Kendall's (where she went to beauty school) and we got a mini pedi and mini mani for $11! Then we met up with mom and dad and went shopping some more and I found a better coat for only $60 and so I am taking back the Cabela's one I got a while ago. I also found Jake a fun little something and my mom got some cute onesies for me because I am trying some applique shirts. Then we went to Aunt Nonie's and she got us Chinese and then we went shopping some more. We got my cute cousin some baby clothes because we found some for $.99 so of course I had to get a few for that price and for how cute they were. Once again I laughed at my sister because she isn't even pregnant but she was buying all kinds of baby stuff but it will probably be soon so I can't say much. Then we went back and Nonie had ice cream where I decided to have a banana split and a rootbeer float (bananas, ice cream, and rootbeer) which is super good by the way. Then drove home and got to see my amazing husband.

It was such a nice weekend and so nice to just spend time with the girls. Then tonight I went to Lucy's for dinner and for cake and ice cream and then got to see all the nieces and nephews.

Oh goodness...

Today was crazy. I had my interactive lit but it went really good. The only things I struggle with are my words. I like to say that I am giving a choice but there isn't a choice...my bad! Other than that last night I could not sleep at all. I was tossing and turning and then looked at my phone and it was 5:20. I was seriously so nervous and I don't know why then as soon as I got in the seat to read the book I was perfectly fine! It went so well and went smoothly for the most part. I am just so thankful that my Heavenly Father will listen to my silly prayers some nights when it may not seem important to some one else He knows that this is what I need to get through the day and make the most of it. Thank you!

Praxis/Illustrated Talk/12 Page Research Paper on School Vouchers

This is my week or next two weeks. To start off I am taking the Praxis exam on Saturday. For those of you who don't know it is a pricey little 2 hour test that basically says you are smart or too stupid to be a teacher. So after Saturday we will know if I am smart enough. I can take it again but it is a little pricey to take it too many times. I am not in my program too far to take it but this is the last test that the school is reimbursing the money for it.
Secondly, I am giving my illustrated talk. You ECE majors probably know what this is but it is me reading a book to the preschool and then we do an activity to relate to the book. We are reading the book Silly Sally. I think it will be fine but I don't know why I am freaking out! I love working at a preschool and working with kids but as a class I have a really hard time. Maybe this sounds cinical but I have a hard time with the preschool teachers because professionals are WAY particular on how to talk to the kids and every little thing on managing the kids. I do a really good job but being judged on every little thing I say seems really weird because talking to little kids just comes easily to me...I guess we will see.
Last of all I have my 12 page research paper due just before Thanksgiving break which is actually nice because it was supposed to be due on Monday!!! I have about 2 pages done and most of the research but it is going pretty good just need to put it all on paper now. I used to be so biased against school vouchers being as I would be a public school teacher probably but as I have read more it has made me realize that they can be great but really how much should the government get involved and spend extra money on.
Well that is enough about my crazy life going on just school and work and to have a nice Thanksgiving break coming up!

Halloween!

I know some people may not care for Halloween but I love it and thankfully Jake is a good sport to dress up with and he came up with the idea...Popeye and Olive Oyl and here are the pictures. We went to Jonathan Hudson's house on Friday night and then on Saturday we went to my parents Trunk or Treat and saw all the kids and then to our ward party and then back home. We wanted to do something with Josh and Sha but since she got bit by the pig last week we decided to wait a little while longer to hang out so we played Halo on XBOX live. Then when our friends Beth and Dallas got home from the U game they came over and we watched The Shortcut (scary movie in honor of Halloween). It was way fun!

Today was Stake Conference at the Provo Tabernacle. I got a quite a bit out of it but I have had a lot on my mind lately so it was hard to focus :S All in all it was great now off to watch Extreme Home Makeover with the hubby. Hope you enjoy the pics!
