So Cute

(Sorry it would not turn)
This is only part of it! The other part is in the wash getting clean.

Okay so I know I thought I wanted a boy but as soon as I found out we were having a girl I got so giddy inside. Ever since that day I still get so excited by finding the cutest clothes and bows and everything. Today I went yard saleing with my mom and sister and we found the greatest stuff. We went to one yard sale where her girlfriend just gave her a bunch of stuff to have. Her friend would not get her daughter used clothes or anything that wasn't name brand...so needless to say my baby got them for 25 cents a piece. The cutest Carters and Children's Place clothes. I spent a total of 10 bucks today and got me two great shirts that look brand new and name brand, the baby a bazillion clothes, a pair of shoes, a snowsuit for the cabin, and a diaper genie. Holy Cow! Garage sale can suck a lot of time and others you hit the mother load. :)

One pound

Our baby is officially one pound! They grow up so fast :)

Yesterday was our 21/22 week checkup and everything is looking good so far. I have gained back 9 pounds but am still only up 5 pounds from pre-prego weight. I think that is doing alright. The doctor is not concerned and everything is looking good. The weird thing is that my belly (uterus) is measuring big. I don't get that so it is larger and skinnier than normal if that even makes sense. It is long and skinny.

In other news we finished my parents wood floors and it looks beautiful. Thanks to Jeremy and Jake spending almost all last week doing them. They look amazing.

Also no new news on the house we are still just waiting and looking at other houses in the meantime (even though Jake and I talk all the time about what we are going to do to the house). We will see what happens.

Oh another thing that my mom would laugh about what my lovely hot flash this week (not really). So we are sitting in church on Sunday and everything is just fine. All of the sudden I start getting antsy and my vision is a little blurry. Then I start getting really warm. I got a piece of candy and gulped down some water and about 3 minutes later I was okay. My mom said I obviously didn't look good. I guess when you are pregnant that can just happen. I have never almost passed out while sitting down and when I ate a good breakfast. Apparently it is a rush of blood or who knows what. Pregnancy does some weirdo stuff to a girl.

One last thing is that I am looking for some advice. I want to start doing some workouts more constantly and was wondering what good videos to use. I know I can't do P90X with Jake so I need an alternative. Let me know.

Oh P.S. Since I can tell everyone know: Josh and Sha are having a baby. So come January or February there will be little Pyne, Utykanski, and a Told baby running around. All three of us friends are all having a baby within 3 months of each other. I am so excited!!! Gotta love babies!

What Makes a Good Dad...

Last night Jake and I were talking about lots of things like me staying home, our parents, crazy family members and much more. One thing that we got on the topic of was looking for someone to marry (well us finding each other). Jake has always said he wanted someone like his mother. Now Teri and I are not the exact same but there are so similarities and I think that is why we get along so well. It always makes me feel so privileged that he would think that of be because I absolutely think the world of Teri. This led to where I am getting to though. I always knew that I wanted someone like my dad: a strong worker, fun, outgoing, doesn't care what others think, loves the gospel, loves his family, a go-getter, and much more. Well of course Jake has all of these qualities but the wow factor with me that Jake has and that I saw when I was dating him came from another amazing man...Jeff. My father-in-law is the ultimate example of service (him and grandpa), loves his family like nothing else, the gospel, the scouting king, works his butt off, has a silent thoughtful side, never judges, and much more  also. When Jeff was young he often went to church by himself and from that learned to love the gospel. Because of this love for the gospel that he passed onto his kids, Jake has become a lot of the person he is today. When many people wonder if they should go to church today or accept a calling Jake never hesitates. Thanks to the attributes of these two amazing men Jake is going to be an amazing dad. I could not have asked for two better me to take qualities from. Thanks for raising a great son, Jeff and dad thanks for showing me the amazing man that I always wanted. Thanks also to all the other amazing men in our lives. We love you all!

20 weeks 1 day!

I finally took a picture of the actual bump so here you go...20 weeks! I am up 4 lbs from pre-pregnancy. Now that I am feeling better and eating a lot more I need to focus more on nutrition. Up until now I just needed to eat whatever sounded okay. So I am looking for some great recipes that are healthy and will give lots of nutrients and less fat. I need to gain weight but want it to be baby weight not just I ate too many burgers :) So if you have any great recipes let me know.

Happy Hump Day

Happy Hump Day or half birthday to our little one. Today she is officially 20 weeks old and half way to finally hitting the road out of mom. I told Jake we should celebrate or something. He then proceeded to talk about how he is nervous for her to come out because she will be the little hottie. I told him that kids aren't hotties until they are teenagers. He proceeded to tell me that it goes by fast. I don't think I will understand this fact until she is actually here. Although the pregnancy is really picking up. At first it was dragging on because I was feeling so miserable but I am enjoying most of it now. It is still a little uncomfortable and weird but for the most part fun. I love rubbing my belly when no one is looking and starting to feel a little movement which is really cool. Jake says for sure he can feel her moving but I can't tell as much. I haven't felt an actually kick or anything just little bubbles and butterflies which I have heard are kicks at this point.

Also in good news: we put an offer in on that house in Lehi. The seller accepted the offer but since it is a short sale we will see what happens. Sometimes they can be a mess but if it works out we are getting it almost $10,000 under their latest asking price!!! We aren't getting our hopes up to much but we really love the house so we will see. We are still looking to see what we can find.

Well that is all the news for us. Happy Hump Day baby!

Oh Lucky Day!

Man everything is looking up. Today I found out that I won a $50 gift card to Ruth's Christ Steakhouse!!! How cool is that. I know that will probably only cover our waters but it will be nice to go out somewhere nice to eat and only cost us half a fortune. Also we went and looked at houses yesterday and found one that I would say we really like but we don't really. Let me explain...the outside is big, in good condition, has a great rv pad and shed. The inside is over 2,000 sf, in the area we want, already has 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, great price, but TRASHED! The carpet is hideous and the countertops are fake blue marble. That being said at the price it is at it could be worth it. We are going to check it out some more and see what we can do.

Other than that we have just been looking for houses, working, getting ready for my sister's garage sale, and ripping out my parents flooring (getting ready to put in wood floors) :). Thought I would post a few pictures from the last little while though since my posts have been dry.

Jake before we cut his hair (he wouldn't smile so oh well, also I know I haven't taken my baby bump picture but Jake technically has gained more than me so this is his baby bump pic)

Jake's mohawk: in the process of buzzing the head (he says he looks like the weirdo off Neon Trees if you know who that is).

Jake and his buzzed head. He didn't want me to put this picture up anywhere because it is bad but he still hasn't taken another one so oh well. What a cutie.

Us at the NASA Space Center in Houston, TX. Oh it was so warm! I miss the sun!
Had to put on this last picture of Jeremy. This was at our graduation bash when we had a BBQ and Jer was awesome enough to cook the burgers for us in the snow. Also thanks to his lovely assistant Jared. You guys are the best!

Not a Breakfast Person

As I sit here this morning eating my cereal I am thinking about what I can eat next. For those who know me (Jake) I don't eat breakfast much. I am not a breakfast person, but apparently baby is. While being pregnant I HAVE to eat breakfast. Most days it seems like I eat 2 breakfasts because I start getting hungry again at 10 or 11. It has been good though. I am starting to gain some weight. I am officially only 2 1/2 lbs smaller than I was before I got sick! Yahoo! Also there is a little bump that is starting to form above my pant line?! I will post a baby bump picture soon. We were going to last night but we got distracted buzzing Jake's hair (pictures to come). I think I am more sad his hair is gone than he is. Oh well. Well I should take off...I am thinking maybe yogurt?
