I just got a blog have no idea how to do anything with it, so let me know how you figured out backgrounds, because the standard one I have is dumb. Thanks, Krista Neil:)
I think it turned out great.
TheCutestBlogOnTheBlock.com is a good website for cute and free backgrounds. You can also add pictures by clicking on the customize button in the upper right hand corner of your blog. then click on the "layout" tab and add a gadget. This will give you a list of options to add to your blog in order to personalize it. It can be tricky getting the right size of picture. Let me know if you have problems doing that, and I hope this helps! I'm so glad I get to read about you and Jake! Keep the blog updated!
