To all you mothers...
I know I am not a mom yet but I have always known I would be. A couple of weeks ago I overheard some women talking about how they don't want to have kids yet due to money or jobs or whatever. I won't go into details but I will have to say I was pretty upset. Usually I am at the opposite end being told we have to have fifty babies right now and it is frustrating but I would much rather have that than faithful women talking about how life is over when you have kids. Yes life changes but, as missy would say, but dang if there isn't sunshine. That is the attitude I think we all should have. I am not saying when or how many kids to have but all I know is that my greatest role models have been the moms in my life. So here is to all women especially you moms who work your butts off and even more props to when you have a smile on your face. A special thanks to the great moms in my life: my moms colleen and teri, my amazing sisters, my aunts who have helped raised me, grandmas or nanas, and friends. Thanks for all you do!

i think something changes in a woman when she becomes a mother. all the sudden you have this wonderful little baby that you have to take care of, and i think that brings out something wonderful in us. I get upset too when people say they don't want to have kids.. they have no idea what they are missing. but then again, maybe its better that they don't, babies should be wanted and loved! :)
I think one of Satan's greatest tools is the deception that he uses in telling women that they can't afford to, shouldn't want to, don't need to, or would even loose their potential for greatness if they became mothers. There is no one richer or more fulfilled in all the world than a mother in Zion.
Women were created to be mothers. It's amazing what it does to a women. I feel blessed that I was born a girl and that I now have the opportunity to raise some of God's most precious children. Thank you for you post. Every women knows when it's there time to start a family and every women knows how many children they need. It's our job to listen to those feelings and not guard them with statements about finances or time, or whatever. You are a great person I enjoyed talking with you on Thursday.
thanks you guys. The other day I felt like I was the only one who felt this way and it is amazing to know that life only gets better when you have kids. Love you all!
I'm glad you posted this, sure being a momma is tough, but I always say, "there's no where else I'd rather be."
You're definitely not the only one who feels that way Netter! Thanks for writing your thoughts on it. You bet life changes when you have kids, and you bet there are many days where you wonder what in the world you were doing, thinking you could be a mom, but most days, it's just the most rewarding thing in the entire world to have your kids tell you they love you, or to know that you are needed by a small baby & you're the only one who can make things better for them. I feel bad for those who miss out because of those thoughts :) Love you Netter
I agree motherhood is the greatest blessing and although it's exhausting it's a good exhaustion. However I do agree that some people should not have children if they aren't willing to sacrifice for them becuase it's not fair to the child. I remember when we found out Kennedie would be coming and clint was unemployed and I was making $600 a month and I knew my faith would pull us through. No one can really tell you what being a parent feels like it's different for everyone just like each child is different. In the end it's worth the journey and I've only been a mom for 5 months but it's been the best 5 months of my life.
