Love, Hate Relationship With Insurance

I just have to say how much I love but hate insurance. Given if we didn't have insurance this baby would be costing us a small fortune. On the other hand I hate it because of random crap I have to pay for. I am a little clueless when it comes to insurance so this whole baby thing is throwing me for a loop. Since I got really sick a while ago and had to go into the doctor it is costing more than I thought. It is still only like 70 dollars for everything but I hate never knowing what they actually will cover and what they won't. I called the insurance lady and she explained some crazy thing in insurance lingo that made no sense (okay it made a little bit of sense). Just glad that we have great insurance so it didn't end up costing an arm and a leg and all the other stuff is covered 90%. All I said was sure that makes some sense. Oh well! Just glad that I haven't really had too many complications and I hardly get sick or else this would be a million dollar baby! I can't imagine all those women who have a lot of trouble in their pregnancy. I guess I should count myself as lucky.

In other news, the blue house in Lehi is moving along but still going slowly. They are just trying to figure out if they are going to charge us closing costs and final numbers on a few things but it is possible that they might take our ridiculous low offer! We should find out in the next week or so. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Who is your insurance through? My husband is an insurance broker and you should have him quote you guys up. He works with ten different agencies which is nice cuz he can see who gives you the best rates. He re-quoted us now that we'll have a baby, and we're saving tons of money. A lot of people just pick a random company to sign up with, or sign with who their parents like, and get ripped off cuz different agencies are good for different people.

Good luck with getting your own place! We've had our house for almost a year, and there's nothing like owning your own house :D You'll love it. Good luck!!!

We get it through Jakes work and it is awesome insurance. We pay less than 100 a month and it covers 90 percent if it isn't covered. I just got sick and they had to do lab work so it costs above the prenatal stuff. I just hate trying to figure insurance stuff out

Ya they are pretty finicky I do admit. I was getting prenatals, and the insurance covered them 100% if I got a 30 day supply, but if I went to a 90 day supply it was $10, so you guessed it I'm sticking with the 30 day supply. Do what you gotta do right?
